Clifftop meanderings

You have to wonder why some people go for a walk: they look so miserable. Not me and George though. We smile at everyone.

Meandering number 1:
The geese weren't in their garden: does this mean they were Christmas dinner for someone? Which led me to thinking about chickens. How do hens lay eggs every day? Is it like humans who produce eggs once a month but on a daily basis? I'm glad I don't ovulate every day.

Meandering number 2:
Was Catherine Zeta Jones in Mumbles for Christmas? Her (parents') house backs onto the field that leads onto the cliffs. Does her mum have a poster of her high-kicking in Chicago on her wall? Which led me into ... it's not as easy as you might think to walk and kick out your legs in time to 'If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere, it's up to you, New York, New York.'

Meandering number 3:
We were talking about New year resolutions this morning in bed. Or rather Husband was; I was trying to sleep. He suggested that as we're getting older we shouldn't be giving up things but resolving to do things we haven't done before.
'What? Like naked bungee-jumping?'
'I was thinking more of going to the opera.'
The only other one I could think of is my ongoing resolution to become a grandma. Unfortunately that doesn't depend on me. But I have a good feeling this could be my year ... (are you reading this, children of mine?)

I can recommend going to Opera.
The current version is 9.63 :-)

Faster than Firefox, safer than IE (but then, what isn't ;-)

You live near Catherine Zeta Jones' Mum? You are practically famous.

I had to wait a very long time to be grandma and had almost given up hope altogether.
