Da-dah!

One whole year! Do you remember? Elder Son and his bride gave me (and the mother of the bride) an orchid plant. I posted a photo of mine then and was taking bets as to how long it would survive in my company. Well, it's lasted a whole year so far. Admittedly we're down to just one good flower but Husband has been tending it lovingly and we're hopeful that new growth will start shooting soon.

And just because it's a good excuse, here's a photo of the happy couple of their wedding day, one year ago today. Happy anniversary both!

You've raised a rather beautiful daughter ... and if she is anything like you she is probably smart as a switch to boot!

Ah, mdm, my son is the groom! And, thankfully, he's far smarter than his mum.

What a beautiful photo, they look so happy and he is holding the flowers. Does that mean he does the washing, ironing, cleaning etc too?;)

I bet you are a really proud Mum, that is a lovely photograph :-)

Happy Anniversary to the happy couple!

This is an adorable photo! She is SO beautiful and sweet looking and he is very handsome (& Welsh looking) with an infectious smile. Love that he's holding the bouquet. What a beautiful dress she's wearing, too. And the backdrop is stunning - I imagine pure Welsh countryside? Happy first anniversary to the happy couple.

I'd like to know the same as Suburbia.

Excellent, I am a fellow plant murderer , altho I have managed to keep a rare palm thingy alive for a whole year , it almost seems to enjoy my haphazard watering now. Nice photo you have a handsome lad :-)

A lovely couple; you should be very proud, and proud, too, that you've kept the orchid alive for a year (it wouldn't have survived for me.)

I left a comment last week when you left for your trip, but I think Blogger ate it. I mentioned that the one time I have ever been to London and went to see Buckingham Palace, the Queen threw a garden party. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the gate because I wasn't wearing a hat. Did they have another parade for you this time?
Glad you enjoyed the museum; I am picturing you staring at the sculpture until you figured it out. I would have done the same:)

Well Liz I have to tell you that I got an orchid when my daughter got married 11 years ago and it's still going strong too. They are amazing really. The flower stalks come up again and again, just when you are about to give up and chuck it.

A whole year! How do you do that? Mrs F and I have a pretty rubbish record with pot plants - they seem to commit sucide on us to save themselves the pain of us trying to tend to them.

Maybe it's all the heavy rock we (sorry son and I) play? :-)

He certainly does lots of cooking, suburbia and james, and I think helps with other things too. He's well-raised!

I am, cherrypie!

they are a beautiful couple, leslie. Not Wales but Richmond, London.

He is a handsome lad, beast. Some plants thrive on neglect.

They didn't have a parade for me, rose, and the queen didn't invite me for tea either!

That's encouraging, jmb, as it is looking a bit downbeat at the moment.

It's not me, furtheron. It's husband. I only have to breathe on a plant for it to wither.
