The plot thickens

Our back garden neighbours have a climbing rose that grows out over the fence by the path, and it has occasional yellow blooms in amongst the white. It's growing quite near our domesticated wild rose so perhaps there's something in the soil causing the mutations.

Like Toby, our old cat.

Liz, this is a lovely way to start my morning (it's 8 AM here) by catching up on all that you have been doing the past few days, so pardon me if I ramble.

Mutations in flowers are quite common, but I have no idea why. I didn't know you once had a cat named Toby. Our Toby is still king of the house--he tolerates Sophie, but lets her know who's boss:)

Your cliff view photos are gorgeous! I wish I had some place nearby like that to walk Sophie; we'd both get a lot more exercise.

Loved the photo of George on Son's lap! And I'm glad you're feeling better.

I have a new climbing rose--doesn't climb yet but I havehopes--and it looks very similar. Some roses change color as they mature. I've only noticed that lately. I've only grown roses for a couple of years. For some reason I always thought they would be difficult.

I love this "wild roses". Liz, thanks for stopping by my blog and your encouraging word about my job search. I have stopped counting the rejections as not to numbr my devastation. However when counted last I was by 72 within 2,5 weeks. Hard to take, however I am sure something will come up. In due time. Have a great day.

Lovely roses! Mine are doing great this year - maybe it's the special care they've received by a special someone who loves to garden and makes sure all the plants and flowers are well taken care of - watered and fertilized!

Our Toby was in the house when we bought it, rose. he died some years ago now.

WE've a couple of climbers, katney. One does very well while the other's not so successful.

WE have to keep presevering, paula, otherwise there's no hope!

You'll have to rent him out, leslie!

Courgettes mostly, puss!
