I hate my scales

I have been on a pretty proper diet for over a month now. I refused to weigh until my shorts felt looser -and I should have stuck to that.

Younger Son had got the scales out to weigh his luggage and he'd left them on the landing. Feeling slim and good about myself I jumped on.

And I weighed more than when I started!!! How can that be? Those flipping scales are lying to me!! I hate them! I hate everybody and everything!

It's enough to drive a girl to chocolate.

Blooming scales. Mutter, mutter, mutter. Blinking ryvita. Pah!!!

Eat the same things but just smaller portions of everything....

Sinew weighs more than fat. You're just substituting one for the other and so you get heavier. Simple. :)

I went back to aquacises this morning, but to the class called "Gentle Fit." I'm glad I went to that one instead of "Tidal Toner" that I used to go to because my whole body feels so weak still. But it won't be long and I'll be weighing more, too, because of the muscle mass! HAR HAR HAR!!! Seriously, though, you probably weighed yourself after you ate breakfast! Always weigh yourself first thing in the morning stark naked. Weight can fluctuate up to 5 or more lbs in one day!

I keep telling myself that, james, but the evidence is still around my stomach!

Good for you, leslie. Being fit is more important than being very slim. (I tell myself!)

I bought some choc in a weak moment, cherrpie, but it's sitting on a hidden shelf. I am fighting ...

My scales are playing up too. Maybe there's a secret scales radar and they all decide to tell lies at the same time.

Gotta weigh at the same time of day each time, and where you put the scale matters, too. It could go slightly off level and go much more than slightly bonkers. Muscle is heavier than fat and all that.
