Can you identify this plant?

Kim asked what these enormous flowers are. I have no idea; any suggestions?
The plant, which we saw in Butchart Gardens in Victoria, Canada, must have been 5 or 6' high with trumpet blooms larger than my hand.

What a great plant! I don't know its name! Thanks for returning to my blog to tell me about the painting!

The artist is called Nigel Mason and he works in glass and stone too. He also makes digeridoos and plays all sorts of pipe instruments. And he wears sandals in all weather

I must remember that! It's a brilliant work of art this painting! Exactly like the way the aboriginals in Cooktown paint. Thanks for showing. I have more Aboriginal art to show another time.

Could be from the Solandra family. Not sure though..:-)

Could be Frank. But I thought he was a little slimmer with more on top last time I saw him... :-)

Could be a trumpet vine that they have trained to grow this way, Liz. I don't have any, but apparently they are very easy to grow.

I think if you do a search for trumpet flowers you may find your answer. A lot of images come up that are very similar.

I think it may be 'Angel's Trumpets'. Try searching for that in Google images and see what turns up!

A friend told me the name when I saw them at the Butterfly Gardens near Victoria but now I've forgotten the name. However, I'm sure she told me they're poisonous!
