How to be Top Dog

Eat your meal in front of your dog and before you feed him.

P.S. The facts that you will eat so fast you'll get indigestion, and feel so guilty that you won't know what you're eating anyway, are secondary to the training process.

Dear George, what an adorable guy! How can you sit there and not feed him? That is why all my dogs eventually got too fat.
Hope you weren't in your pj's when you had to retrieve him from the neighbor's!

Heh ... yeah, Thor and Katie allow me to put my hand over their food while they are eating ... and they will wait patiently till I say it is ok for them to eat again. No food issues here!

He does, doens't he?

No, this time I was dressed, rose.

Harvey was good like that too, mdm. Hey, George is only a puppy! It'll come ... And he was really good on his walk today.

How could any one do that to a dog? Feed him first & shut the dining room door. Take your time! What a cutie!

That is the loveliest picture!
Never mind food, you can forgive him anything when he looks at you like that!

I think it's time to put your foot down with him! lol But those eyes!

No seriously, they DO say to eat dinner first and then feed the dog.

You've had quite the few days! He is quite the chewer to be able to eat an electrical plug and a chair! Have you given him a nylon bone scented with beef or chicken or lamb? He may be teething.

Mutley has never taken this hint on board - I have been trying it for 12 years. I don't think it works...
