When Daughter was first being weaned she was very difficult to feed: the only thing she really liked was sweet potato. As a result her weight didn't increase the way it should have done and hence these skinny little legs - not helped by the enormous booties!
"Traditionally babies have been started on cereal but nowadays pureed vegetables are widely suggested as being more digestible for babies’ tummies. And one of the best to begin with, and often recommended by nutrition experts, is sweet potato. These pink-skinned knobbly vegetables are easily available in greengrocers and supermarkets and have a subtle sweetness that babies love."

Our daughter LOVED pureed prunes ... not a good thing when we stopped feeding it to her though. Of course, I tolerated the end result while she was eating it. Gha, nasty!
Skinny legs indeed!! cute little baby anyways :)
Happy hunting and happy weekend!
Your daughter was a beautiful baby, skinny legs and all. Hope you have a great weekend.
Her legs are so skinny, but she is definitely cute. Happy hunting.

Happy Weekend!!!
OH what an adorable baby girl. My first was super skinny (she was a preemie) and still is. She had little twigs for legs as well. Great choice.
Oh... those legs are so skinny! I'm sure she has great legs now.
My kiddos have my genes...so they have fatty fat legs, no skinny legs here. LOL! Great choice!
Ohhh sweet smile..yep she sure have skinny legs..;)

Skinny baby but very lovely.
Happy hunting!
Those booties look cute on her :)
Both my kiddos loved pureed sweet potatoes too, but were told not to give too much of those in fear turning juandice or something..
It's not a Weekend;It's a Lifestyle
She had skinny legs but really cute!
Oh my the booties do make her legs look real skinny! Such a cutie though!
I guess that's usual for some babies. But as they grow, they get big and chubby. Hope she eats well now.
Your daughter was a skinny baby. Trust that she's bulked up quite a bit since! :)
I like this photo...too precious. And I like how you shared the story behind it too.
My skinny photo is published now, would you care to visit with me? I'd love to have you drop by!!
Beautiful picture.
Skinny kids, I hear, are the most healthy ones. Thanks for visiting, and she is a beauty anyhow!
And so began her vegetarian lifestyle! Bless her.
My goodness those are some skinny little legs and I thought I was a tiny baby (the ladies at the hospital called me skinny-minnie).
she's a cutie! my son didn't gain weight like he was supposed to either, and he's still small - healthy but small.
I, too, was a “skinny baby.” Unfortunately, my grandmother convinced folks to force feed me, which may partly account for my future obesity. People had weird ideas back in the ‘40s.
Skinny little legs or not...she is so cute Liz. Look at that little face. All my kids were pretty good eaters....didn't have too many skinny legs in the bunch. I think my son was the skinniest out of the gang...not any more.
