Bit of this and that

Oh, I wish you could smell these!

Someone told me recently how to find out where site visitors have come from. Because I'm a cheapskate, I only have a free counter so it doesn't give me loads of information but I have looked at it a couple of times recently.

Someone came to my blog after googling for Brian O'Driscoll's training regime. I'll bet they were mightily disappointed.

I called into a charity shop today and asked the assistant if I could have the glasses case on display. She said, 'You can have it but it's a mobile phone case.'

Well, it's better than a plastic bag.

I've been to circuits since beginning this post. And now I've had boiled eggs for dinner. Just boiled eggs: I had my bread ration at lunchtime. But they were very nice boiled eggs. If not very filling.

These are in the kitchen.
They smell pretty good too.

I am not going to eat one.

Wow, beautiful and gorgeously odoriferous.

I have Sitemeter which is free with loads of information, all depressing. I get an amazing number (well I think so) of hits but mostly looking for Westies.

I just checked your sitemeter out, it looks quite good. Lots of info. Might have to try that one too. Wonder if they'll agree

Hi, Liz. Well, I'm a cheapskate too! Love that - "better than a plastic bag" - glasses cases are the bane of my life lately! They are a;ways the wrong shape and even when they are right they confound you by getting lost, all by themselves! Love the food pic too.

Ok, how come you're so strong minded? I wouldn't have been able to resist. Go on...say you did have one...go on.

The smell fills the room, jmb, but you know what it's like: your nose becomes accustomed to it. I have to make excuses to go in and out of teh room to have a fresh dose each time!

Thanks for visiting, Michelle. Date flapjacks, as I've written before, are VERY moreish - but also good for you I like to think. Honest!

Welshcakes, of course it remains to be seen if I remember to use the glasses case!

Lee, Robyn, I haven't! Not yet. But they're still there tempting me ... Lord, give me strength, Amen! It's the wedding outfit that's doing it. It's so snug I REALLY need to lose a few pounds in the next three weeks. Wish me luck.

Look, ageis, it's only because of your previous comment that I've been resisting so far!

I used to have the free counter thru Bravenet, too, then decided to "go pro" several months ago. It's so cheap -- believe me, I'm a cheapskate, too. Comes from having parents from New England who grew up during the Great Depression! $6.95 here in the States for a month. Anyway...it tells me how many visitors I've had in the past 6 months. I wish I'd started it a long time ago so I actually had an accurate read. If the stats are TRUE -- sometimes I wonder about that. It shows a huge list of all visitor referrers, too. My Googles go anywhere from Maxine cartoon searches to handwriting to quotes to poems to the actual name of my blog. The vast majority come from Bloglines. I average, for the most part, between 500-700 readers a day...as of this morning, I've had over 88,000 visitors in the past 6 months. Is this good???? I dunno, lol! I haven't got a clue what average traffic is for blogs. Can anyone clue me in???? The reason I say if the stats are true is because I seem to have a lot of returning visitors but I don't know how some of these bloggers will have 75 comments per day! Outside of a few 'regular' commenters, it's a rare thing for a 'newbie' to speak up, even if I try a delurking post. Strange world, blogging.
