Rant

I am spitting!

I had a horrendous day at work. Partly because the computer was on a go slow, partly because the printer wouldn't. But mostly because of being patronised and treated like a gullible idiot who has absolutely no judgement. And not getting an apology when I was proved to be right.

I need to kick something. Hard.

Husband gets home tonight after being away all week; I think I should tell him to go away again. I will not be good company this evening.

Oh dear. Well, why don't you go out for dinner or do something nice and calm down? And maybe go and have a bath in lavender first? And stroke Harvs. That is what you tell me to do.

I'd suggest a stiff drink, but I know you don't imbibe, Liz. So you need to find something to kick. Hm. Betty's poorly, so it wouldn't be good to kick her. And you can't kick Harvey, because, well, he's innocent on this one. I'd go after the culprits - computer, printer, and human jerk. You have our blessing - go to it! (It's Friday. There's a bright spot.)

Have a bath, give your husband the most passionate kiss he's ever had(channel the anger) and find something to laugh at!

Dear Liz, I hope your don't kick Betty or your Husband. Something I learned years ago. It was easy to bite my tongue when a work mate crossed me, then brought it home and my wife had to here it. I should have spared my wife and let the work mate have a word or two.

Try smashing the computor up with a large blunt object, (the printer maybe), throw the fragments at said person one at a time and buy a Mac at the earliest opportunity.

...was great to see you at Zac's - thankyou for the kind words. (We'll look at 'revenge' next week!)

Poor Liz. I've had days like that. When it's hard to find something to kick, binge-eating something really, really good works for me. Follow it up with that nice, hot, lavender scented bath Anna mentioned and you should feel better. And ... it's Friday. Enjoy your weekend. I'd say you've earned it.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement.

When husband came home I told him about my bad day, about the computer and the printer, but I refused to talk in detail about the main cause of my anger as I knew it would only wind me up again. So we had a pleasant lazy evening.

We did think about going to see Little Miss Sunshine (which comes highly recommended) but it's no longer on in town!
